Connect your USR 9106 Wireless Gateway (Ethernet 1~4) to your PC using a LAN cable and enter its configuration page. If you were able to gather the information. Should you need detailed instructions, pls post back the make/model of the ISP provided USB modem. You need to access the USB modem to get this data. This would be IP address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway and DNS. While still using the USB (provided by your ISP) determine its WAN IP settings. You can actually remove the splitter and connect the telephone line straight to the WAN/ADSL input of the USR 9106 Wireless Gateway and check if their is an improvement or if your ADSL and WAN IP will light up consistently.Īlternately, if your ISP is too busy to attend to your concern, you can try mimicking the USR's WAN settings to that of the USB modem's. One thing you can try is to verify the integrity of the line splitter that is commonly used to split the 2-wire signal to the telephone and to the modem/router. This is clearly an ISP issue and should be resolved by them. Initially what I suspect is that your USR's connection to your ISP is intermittent but with that of the USB modem is consistent. ![]()
